Hmm...

Though this is much more smooth and stylish than I could possibly manage back when I made the game in 8th grade, I can't help but note the similarities between this entry and "Postman Panik," one of my very first efforts in Flash. Well done, but I'm just dying to know if the nearly identical design is a coincidence. Here's a link:

I can assure you that we didn't know "Postman Panic" even existed...
As said in the comment, we were asked to build this game in a very short time for our studies, and we had to make it an advert game for a big company. As it was just an exercise, we got it back later and decided to change the sounds and graphs so that it would fit a larger public without advertizing anything.
So the gameplay was built from nowhere and was (or at least we thought so) completely original!

This does not stand alone

The options were endless, but usually people want this at the start of a game. In and of itself, this isn't entertaining enough.

Superb

Brilliant effort, my friend. This is one of the most inspiring and original submissions I have ever encountered. Makes me want to work in Flash again, and I mean that. Bravo.

great game with a bad mistake

once you beat all the challenges, if you want to try the next challenge just to see if there is one, all the variables are undefined, including the map. you should definitely fix that. just make it so you can't go to the challenge screen after beating the one in hell.

please take note of the following:

if you press a note when no notes are passing over Ongaku, nothing happens. this means that it's easy for players to rapidly press arrow keys the entire level to get a continuous string of perfects and ace the level. if you seriously want this to be a console game, this would have to be changed, otherwise it's just too easy for button mashers. other than that, this game is incredible

surprised!

i'm used to crap from the KK but this actually wasn't that bad, and so what if its like kitten Cannon, there's not a patent on that or anything. anyway, it was funny to use hitler and the game wasn't bad, if a little less interactive than Kitten Cannon. Okay job.

great job dude

this tutorial was simple but effective, with great graphics/ explanations. my only complaint is that there wasn't an example (of the sound/lip sinc completed) at the very end. overall though, a grate tutorial for beginners. nice job.

one of the best on newgrounds

this game was so much fun i couldn't believe it. at one point in the game i had the crappiest ship and i saved, then i just started messing around by taking a gigantic loan and buying the biggest ship there is, then making huge trionium runs. i was really surprised when i was actually able to pay the loan off! after that, since i had been playing for a long time i exploited a loophole by putting -99 trionium in my hold and then selling it all. i bought millions of gun drones and destroyed mieng khan in battle.

yes you were a noob back then

hopefully you're better now. i'd like to see some of your more recent stuff

sweet jesus

that was such a great game. why no score posting system though? i got 1940 as my distance!
